This stately Georgian Style brick home was ready for renovation, restoration, and an addition. Youngblood Builders’ challenge was to hold on to both the original architectural style and building materials so old and new could mingle together, becoming indistinguishable. To achieve this, no detail was overlooked.
To name a few: the glass of an original courtyard window was replaced with mirrors and hand painted with a high gloss finish, transforming a broken-down butler’s pantry into a spectacular gem of the property. A hidden bar came back to life through loving restoration, maintaining the mystery and whimsy of older days.
Original slate roof tiles were shuffled with new ones, matching brick was added, and wood windows were created to perfectly match the existing ones. The detached garage was redesigned to connect fully to the main house, making it appear as though it had always been there. An impressive main staircase was newly built in perfect alignment with the home’s original style. This property is now in a class by itself, a true home for the ages.
