Newton Restoration

This incredible home started with a historic property with beautiful bones but needed expansion and modern updates. Our client had a vision for creating something fabulously new with ties to its origin story - a seamless marriage of restoration and new construction, tied together literally at the centerline of the main gambrel peak. The result is a perfect union of antique and contemporary, a living space that fits the lifestyles of today's families while offering the timeless beauty of craftsmanship and style from days long past.

Graceful arches, a stately oak study, and light playing into the living and dining rooms are highlights of the historic section. The main entry was re-envisioned with a stunning split staircase that joins old and new. The newly constructed lower spaces nod to current desires, with ceilings heightened to 11', making luxurious living spaces that include a playroom, a gym, a family room with a stylish, green-tiled bar, and an in-law suite.

Outdoors the beauty continues with an artful landscape inviting large and small outdoor living. The addition of a pool and an entertainment pool house that visually connects to the stunning lines of the main house ties the entire property together.

This was a client who knew what they wanted, and we developed a strong, collaborative working relationship that featured synergy between their aspirations, the strong vision of the design team, and our team’s professional execution. The result? A phenomenally successful transformation of an older home into a contemporary beauty with respect for the past.
