Ocean breezes and water views set the stage for this Cape House renovation. Set in a quiet, understated neighborhood, the clients wanted the home to fit in while also bringing it up to date for relaxation and comforts.
The architecture was dated, the windows were failing, and systems needed to be upgraded. Most importantly, this special property, set directly on the bay, did not take advantage of the incredible views. New picture windows transformed small, confined rooms into glorious places of panoramic vistas, and a new back porch now beckons for afternoons of lemonade and reading.
The finishes were done following the owner’s desire for quality and comfort over high-end flash, creating an understated yet warm, welcoming home to retreat with family and friends and focus on what matters, the people and the place.
